John Galt is a character in Ayn Rand's novel "Atlas Shrugged" (1957) who was introduced to me by Marshall Sylver by aksing the question who is he.
Wikipedia describes the character as a philosopher and inventor who believes in the power and glory of the human mind, and the right of the individual to use his/her mind solely for him/herself.
It goes on to state that "He serves as a highly individualist counterpoint to the collectivist social and economic structure depicted in the novel, in which society is based on oppressive bureaucratic functionaries and a culture that embraces mediocrity in the name of egalitarianism, which the novel interprets as the end result of socialistic idealism."
It is great to meet him as his view is characteristic of the empowered individuals who participate in a world that work for all.
As you remember and give honor to those who sacrificed their lives for causes they believed in, resolve to understand, be tolerant and communicate in a manner that leaves no cause to raise a hand or arm against another. www.oscarcarter.com
What Empower Network is, is largely expressed in this song my Lauryn Hill. Let's get out of the boxes and extend beyond the barriers by which we limit ourselves. There is nothing within them that can take us anywhere near where we want to be. It is a matter of choice. Any way you choose is cool with me. I am out by the way! Have you noticed?
