A battle lost or won is easily described, understood, and appreciated, but the moral growth of a great nation requires reflection, as well as observation, to appreciate it. (Frederick Douglas)
Simply, the most extraordinary, consequential and timely treatise I hav…

I learned of
Friendship Day, today. I do not recall ever hearing about it until I saw people
twittering about this afternoon. It is the most frequent trending topic as I write this post.
My quick research informs me that
Friendship Day may in fact be
International Friendship Day which takes place the first Sunday of August every year. I understand the United States Congress proclaimed it in 1935. My best source of information at this time is Wikipedia.…

President Obama promptly and enthusiastically greeted his close friend Skip Gates and Sgt. Crowley at The White House with a big smile and firm handshake, Thursday evening. He thanked each for coming.
Professor Gates appeared a little uncomfortable. The President and Crowley seemed quite relaxed, their cheeks a little flushed. The President had just finished drinking a couple of beers with one of his aids and Crowle…

Earlier today, I responded to two questions.
One question was what are some of the things I am doing and will be doing to create a
World Community and secondly what can each of us do.
What I am doing and will continue to do is advancing the…

We're blessed where I live in that we have two "great" public radio stations. On the way home from dinner tonight, I had a "drive way moment" while listening to WHRV 89.5 that I'd love to share.
One of the local announcer's names is Jae Sinnett. He has about 9 recorded albums under his name and is a jazz drummer. However, he hosts two shows on 89.5:
Sinnett in Session (Jazz) and on Fridays from 7-8pm, the
R&B Chronicles. It was tonight's R&BC that got me as it featured the…

I have posted the following from one of my favorite sites: beliefnet.com
The sight logo is "Nurturing Mind, Body and Spirit" and represents all aspects of faith and spirituality. You can sign up to receive the "Daily OM" free.
This is the "Daily OM" that I received on May 18, 2009. It seemed to fit into the theme of "Creating a World Community. Hope it resonates and inspires. Peace be with you.

My mother, Gladys Carter, passed away late last month.
Her life was celebrated in memoriam the Fourth of July weekend. I realize the Fourth was one of her most cherished holidays; another was Memorial Day. My mother was a very proud

Face In The Mirror
LATELY, WE HAVE seen a flood of hate crimes. A white supremacist walks into the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and guns down a guard. An anti-abortion fanatic murders a doctor who provided women with unwanted and sometimes life-threatening pregnancies.…

Recently, while visiting Capitol Hill, I was asked by
United States Congressman Bobby Scott what my idea was in regard to health care reform in this country. I stumbled over the question, realizing how enormously the system is broken and the complexity of the issues involved in addr…

I started drinking an
Acai berry nutraceutical dietary supplement, named
AIO about three weeks ago.
On Saturday while visiting a doctor for a check up, my blood pressure reading was 123/70. Normally, with my medication it is about 140/85.
Then, yesterday, while walking back from a restaurant in New York City with my wife, I realized my arthritic knees have not been hurting for a least a week. I had not even thought about my knees until yesterday. I told my wife and she expressed g…

After trying 5, yes 5 different network marketing businesses over the past four years, I recently realized I was missing something. I got sick and tired of listening to corporate calls every single week and hearing leaders report having 100's and even thousands of people in their d…

I was just reading an email by Michael Rasmussen that said the two magic words in any kind of marketing are "Statistical Data". I can't help but to agree with this. Being mathematically inclined and a bit of a numbers guy myself that comes naturally to me. Although statistics can be made to show pretty much anything you want, (ie health and wealth products claiming it is a growing industry, which it is not) even the numbers that lie are important. To quote JayZ "Men lie, Women lie, numbers don't…

Here are a few tips to help you with your sales, I'm not going to give you a website to go to. I think the spirit of this site is to help others for free. I'm not knocking people who are sending you to their website, it is just my personal opinion.
1) Establish like and trust with your prospect - this is not done by sending emails and other such media that is what I deem detached. You gotta pick up the phone and actually talk to people, as well as doing all of those other things.
2) The best way…

This afternoon, I saw evidence of a
World Community, at least that is what I made of it.
I admit a
World Community is a matter of interpretation. Some will see what I am about to describe as just a mere coincidence or luck. Others will say it was just one person assisting another. I and many others perhaps, will say that it was a spiritual intervention and oneness that occurred.
What I experienced was my 50 some year old cousin grabbing a hold of the back of a 95 year old women t…

I took me a long time to learn this, and now it has come into focus. There are two huge myths when it comes to MLM and these are the things that people focus on most of the time.
Myth #1 You don't get paid for signing people up.
Myth #2 You don't get paid for selling products either.
A lot of you are kind of scratching your heads right now thinking, what the hell is he talking about? That's what it says in the compensation plan. What you do get paid for, is doing PRESENTATIONS. The more prese…
